How can i fix my 8mm Sanyo vm r22r camcorder?

Left my camcorder in cold room + it got damp + now won't switch on at all,even wen plugged in mains + dried out

My Sanyo xacti cg9 is working when I view my photos but when I go to take a photo the screen is black but the flash is working but can't seem to get the picture.
