how to line gears up after changing clucth. on fiat merea?

i changed the clucth on a fiat merea,its a 1999,1.6 i cant line the gears up ... i connected the rods back on from the gearstick,but can aloney get a few gears... so i need 2 no how 2 reline the gears... thanks
