How do I replace the line on a Homelite string trimmer?

The cap that usually unscrews for string replacement will not budge on my Homelite trimmer. I want to be certain it will unscrew before I put more pressure on it with some kind of tool. The nut inside is visible, but recessed to the point that a wrench will not reach it for a fit. So, how is it removed?

It depends on the model!

Cut the plastic bump-knob off to get access to the bolt.

New parts are made by ALM Manufacturing, call 01423 797208 for stockists or advice

Part number for the spool head assembly is HL007 if RH thread bolt and HL008 if RH thread bolt
