i have a apollo boiler pilot light is on but when ask for demand either water or heating boiler does not fire up but the fan does come on

if the fan is running but the boiler isnt firing then it is possibly the air prssure switch which is stuck, usually they are located within the boiler casing simply tap the boiler quite sharply on the either side at high level if your boiler then fires up you have a sticking aps, which will eventually give up the ghost, they cost peanuts
