Hello,



I have had my Dell just over a year and had little problems however recently I left it on for a few hours and when I came back it was frozen, Ctrl, Alt Delete didnt work and so I took the battery out, tried to restart it and it just came up blank. I also hard reset it a few times once it came up with fix your computer and then said it couldnt automatically fix the computer the next time it started fune however nothing would work (Control Panel) network etc. So I shut it down and it took forever saying logging off this would have been at least a few hours. Finally I have got it to start in safe mode but whenever I shut it down again the logging off thing happens again?? Very frustrating, I bought it in Canada and am now in France without the disks :( Also Windows Live One Care willnot work on any mode. I have a suspicion this is what is causing the problem but I cannot re-install it on safe mode and it will not start in normal mode. Any help at all would be very appreciated :)

I would suggest getting the hard drive backed up and then running a full system recovery. Dell use a standard Windows Vista disc and then have another dic with drivers. IF you can get hold of a copy of Windows Vista, use the Vista serial from underneath your laptop, and then download and install drivers from the Dell website, I reckon that should cure your issues.
