When I fill my washing machine and turn it on it starts leaking out the bottom. The tub is also moving around when the machine is on, it looks like the water is going over the tub. Is this possible and what would be the problem? Can it be fix and or should I purchase a new machine? My washing machine is a Hotpoint, Model # VBXR1060V0WW, Ser # TS123223H. It sounds like either the door seal or the tub seal has gone, Both are easy to replace, but you have to make sure of the following,
Door seal has to be in the correct position
Tub seal is a bit more involved as the front has to come off, Make sure that the lip & edge is spotless from scale, soap etc. I would recomend that you consult the Haynes washing machine manual if you get really stuck.
