Help us a little Steve,losing pressure at what indicated working pressure?. Normal pressure should be 1-1.5 bar cold if you are venting off at this value then the safety valve, from where the water is coming,is either knackered or there is grit under the seat causing it to pass, it should be set to lift at 3.5bar.
