Boiler temp indicator is flashing alternately with two vertical bars with short horizontal bars gong outwards from centre of vertical bars

is it a worcester? if so it's telling you that the siphon fill function is running. it should go back to normal after 15 mins or so and will re-start any time the power is interrupted to the boiler.
