my computer will just cut off when I play online games from aol pogo gamerivel ect... and when I use a player to watch movies now it will even do this at random on regular web pages. I also can not run my nortons anti-virus. It will scan maybe 15,000 files then cut off. I have to turn off the main power and wait about 1 min. then the computer will restart. There has not been any software or hardware added to my computer and there is no error message it just said no signal because there is no power on the tower. Any ideas what is causing this to happen?? thanks

I've had a simmalar problem before like this, but i found that my computer would reset itself several times on its own before windows would load. With the problems i found and how you describe your problems i think we have had the same problem. I found the answer to be partly due to the graphics card (or driver). Replaceing this has cured the bulk of the problem (i still sometimes get the odd reset of windows before it loads but thats about it). Give that a try, you might want to check that your computer is clean inside aswell, dust can cause problems like this due to hardware getting too hot. Hope this helps
