Zanussi Washing Machine Faulty?

My Zanussi ZED16270W Washing Machine is faulty.
Normal time appears but when started a humming sound starts for acouple of minutes with no water flow and then stops.
Can anyone help?

could be a faulty water valve.Try it on rinse cycle if it does not work change cold valve
