my liteon dvd wont play my recordable dvds?

my dvd used to play recordable dvd`s but now it only plays pre recorded ones i got a dvd cleaner but its still the same every time i but a recordable dvd in to the machine it says fail what is the best solution to repair this

I forgot to say. If the disks are not from another machine and/or are finalised the other problem could be a weak laser which tends to show up on Recordables more than prerecorded. Raplcing one is not usually a DIY proposition added to which repair may cost more than a budget machine is worth. If its under 12 months old however, I'd take it back.

Recordable DVDs do not have Region codes. Region Coding is only used on pre-recorded DVDs.

The usual reason for the fault that you describe is failure to 'Finalise' the disk on the machine that recorded it. Try puttting one of the failed ones back in the recorder and, using the menu, 'Finalise' it.
