I have just cleaned the roof of our conservatory, and have noticed a hole has been made somehow. the hole is about 3 inch's long. the roof is a flat slopping one if that makes sense. it is a double layered roof, which is strong enough to walk on , not that i would. just wondered if there is a way of fixing this without a costly repair. the rain is not coming in due to the fact its double layered.

Either replace the acrylic sheet or over lay and mastic or glue a patch of plastic over the split if it seems as though the edges have melted then my guess is a firework landed still alight. I understand your meaning flat sloping meaning shallow sloped roof. The other alternative to damage is tiles/slate damage from the main roof. Check with your house insurance you may be covered for repairs it's worth a try.
