How can I stop the wash progress lights from flashing on a GW501 Smartdrive?

Whenever I plug my F&P GW501 smartdrive washing machine in the progress lights flash until I turn it on. I tried to diagnose it by following the instructions off Fixitnow with the following: With the machine off hold temp down and power. Press water level down the press power. This started the LEDs flashing. Since then the progress lights flash whenever the washing machine is plugged in but switched off. Is there a way of turning them off?
Thanks

Thanks for that, I had a slightly different problem but the procedure got the lights under control. Trouble is that the new solenoid just makes a small clunk when I try to start the sequence and nothing else happens

The method of getting the green wash progress lights to stop flashing when the machine is off varies slightly between models but the following directions should work.

1. Switch the power to the machine off at the wall plug.

2. Wait at least 10 seconds before continuing to next step.

3. Press and hold the Regular Wash button and press and hold the Advance button, holding in the two buttons at the same time and while continuing to hold in these buttons, switch on the power to the machine at the wall plug. Release the two buttons.

Note: If no Water Level lamp shows when step 4 is attempted, then do this; Press Power button then press and hold both the Regular Wash button and the Advance button both togther, release buttons and continue to step 4 and through remaing steps.

4. Press the Water Level down button (and or up button if necessary) till the Low lamp only is on.

5. Switch the power to the machine off at the wall plug.

6. Wait at least 10 seconds before continuing to next step.

7. Switch on the power to the machine at the wall plug.
- The reset is done - should be no more flashing lights.
