How do I fix my CD Player, 2007 Hyundai Azera? ?

My 2007 Hyundai Azera XM Radio/6 CD Player Changer has an error message "disc checking". The radio works but the cd player does not. I took it to the dealer and the warranty (36,000 miles) is out for the radio/cd player. My car has 54,000 miles. They said it would have to be replaced, but to expensive. I was wondering if there was something else that could be done.

Did anyone come up with a solution for this? There are not any CDs in my player, but still getting the disc checking error. Cannot load a cleaning disc, as it will not load anything. It is stuck on

Hello! My 2007 azera is doing the exact same thing. If you figured out how to fix this (can't even get the CDs out) please email me at lmacdon444 AT aol.com - I would greatly appreciate it!

hi,sounds like a dirty laser lens.If after inserting a cd no info about your cd appears on your display then the laser has not found focus(unable to read the info on the cd).The first thing to do is use a cleaning disc, most audio shops sell these cds, this type of cd comes with a cleaning fluid, just follow the instructions(try this cleaning cd a few times and see if this clears the problem). If this fails most likely you need the laser replaced.this can only be carried out at a repair shop, hope this helps
