Talk Talk keeps dropping?

The problem i am having is as follows.
All the lights on my modem are green( no problem)
click on ie it takes me to my home page(no problem)but this is when the fun starts.
I type anything into the Google search it tries to load but after 30 secs i get CONECTION LOST.
This happens all the time morning or night.
I rang Talk Talk and was told it was my micro filter
i purchased a new filter still the same problem. Then i was told the problem was that the lead from the modem to the bt socket was to long because the socket was down stairs and your modem is upstairs.
I plugged my lap top into the bt socket and lead that came with the modem same problem.

Try your router in the Test Socket of the Master Socket.

If the problem goes way then your ISP is correct and you need to sort out yout Internal wiring. Internal wiring is your problem not your ISPs or BT's

If the problem persists call your ISP. You may need to be firm with them because ISPs do not like calling Openreach due to the costs that they incur.
