how do i change the drum bearings on a hotpiont WMA46 washing machine?

I have a wma46 hotpoint washing machine i have changed the motor about 5 months ago but now the drum bearings are very noisy.I have been informed that it will cost about £130 to £180 to have the work carried out.I have seen bearings for between £10 to £20.Has anybody attempted this themselves?

it is not the cost of the bearing ,(you are being quoted labour charges due to the work involved)
you have to strip the machine write down to get to the drum out, then remove the bearings inner and outer one,(loads of sweat at this point )
refit the new ones and the seal ,(more sweat) find out at this point need a new spider assembly due to wear (more money to lay out).go out get one.
refit to machine reassemble all the parts you removed fit hoses then find you can't remember where the wires go on can you do all of the above ? if yes go for it
