the front door sticks about the handle/lock position when we open the door causing the whole door to shudder when we have to push it.
is there any adjustment on the hinges that i can do ?

There is normally an allen key adjustment on door hinges but I would recommend checking the coverage at the top of the door on the lockside as the door sash may have 'dropped' causing the problem, if so then the glass/panel needs re-packing (toe & heeling), this is a very common problem.
