Gas oven fault?

Belling Country Range gas cooker, not fan assisted, 9 years old. One oven ignites normally but fails to move to the next stage where the flame should increase to bring it up to temperature. It remains at the lowest level after ignition. All the wiring etc. is present and appears undamaged.

My gas cooker (wish we had never bought it) Belling top oven will now not light like the bottom oven. When I tried to restart the oven the oven worked then when I took the pressure of the switch it went out? Lucky for us we can cook in fashion using top with the gas rings.

all cookers now days have a probe in the flame that must get hot b'4 letting the full gas through.
if you can see a small probe in the flame of your burner and if it is getting hot. then you need a new flam falure device. if the burner is blocked near the probe and it is not heating it up, you need to clean the burner at that point.
