I have a Technics CD SC-HD550 cd Player which continiuosly jumps. I have tried using a disc cleaner but with no success as the problem still persists.

hi,you really need to replace the laser unit,or if you can clean the glass eye of the laser by removing the top of the unit.(Make SURE THE UNIT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SUPPLY FIRST)Clean the lens with an audio fluid by soaking a soft cloth then with your finger rub the lens ,not very hard.(cleaning cds are not all that good)
