Having owned this model for 14 years until now it has eventually broken down with ice formation.
I contacted the company here http://www.appliancediyrepairs.co.uk

Fantastic all repaired by myself and hopefully another 14 years.

Easy fix but you must totally defrost before removing panels.

The kit has all the new component's needed.

i too am getting a lot of ice build up behind the back panel. We had a water leak a while ago and had to switch off the water supply to the fridge, so how can there be so much flippin ice? I still cant get the flaming panel off either!! someone help me please before I go insane! lol

I had the same issue and tried all the above cost us a small fortune along with all the different engineers who didnt have a clue. In the end we had just about had enough when by a off chance speaking to one of our neighbours he said he had the same problem within the warranty period and that an approved engineer came along and rectified the problem and that his has been as good as gold since. We called agsrefrigeration and the engineer arrived and within a few minutes he found the fault he then explained to us that the reason why so many people have been having problem over the years is partially due to the design fault but more important is that lots of people dont know how to test the fuses situated behind that evaporator cover and that most of the times people have been replacing the fan when in a majority of cases only one component has failed. Its been over two years now and we have had no further problems with our fridge. If you are anywhere in london or surrey area and in need of a good engineer give them a try. www.agsrefrigeration.co.uk

I did all the above and fan is working. However, the temp dropped from 21 to 16 in the first hour and has stayed at that temp for the past 4 hours.

I am having trouble getting the twin cooling panel off I think ice has formed behind and it is stuck, is there only two screws holding it together?

I had the same issue.
What it turned out to be was the fan not running due to ice buildup around the fan enclosure.
The Fan is accessible from inside the fridge. Simply remove all shelving and you'll see a panel at the back lower part of the fridge compartment. The front cover of the panel probably says Twin Cooler on it..you'll have to remove the zigzag pipe in front of it to remove the panel too.

But anyway, remove the panel and you will see the fan mounted on the reverse with the impeller sat inside the insulation panel. Simply remove the four mounting screws to remove the fan and use something like a hairdryer to defrost and remove the ice. Also there should be a water run off at the bottom of the fan which I had to make a little bigger as this was blocked too. It's polystyrene and so a sharp knife did the trick.
20 mins later having defrosted the ice around the fan completely I then re-assembled and bingo! fridge would then cool.

before I put the fan back together I held the door switch closed to infer the door was shut and I watched the fan start up. THis made sure the fan had not burnt out. I then completed the box up and the rest is history.

Hope this helps.
If you want a picture let me know and I'll post one.
