Blower Resistor Failure, now blower motor stopped working?

I bought the van about a year ago, vauxhall corsa, 1.3 dt combo 2006 reg. The van has got 75000 on the clock and runs ok, but for this persistant blower resistor failure. It has got history of this according to the records in the van. I have had it replaced twice now, but it has gone again. The last time my mechanic replaced the blower motor itself after speaking to the main dealer. now I find today both parts have failed. Also there is water leaking into the footwell from the left hand bottom corner of the glove box. I have removed the glove box today, and put the hose pipe on the window outside, and found the water is coming in at the back of the blower motor. My question is, is this an easy fix, how do I stop the water coming in?, think this might be the cause of all my problems. Has anyone had this problem?.

have had one combo where water was entering in through plastic box just next to the battery at inner wing, there are relays and fuses in there, worth a look, good luck
