Toilet flush making a noise?

When I flush the toilet, it makes a loud sound that can be heard throughout the house. The noise is now getting louder and lasts for longer.

Can anybody tell me what could be the problem please?

If you mean when it's refilling, it's usually caused by a worn diaphragm. If you don't know the make of your inlet valve, call steve at toiletspares.co.uk he's an absolute wizz
