My phone keeps crackling when i am on it making it very difficult and sometimes impossible to hear the person on the other end. The interference seems to have happened since we had sky installed, but is now worse than it has ever been

As an ex phone engineer, if a phone "crackled", this usually meant that the curly cord from the handset to the phone is worn out and needs replacing, if you have another phone, unplug the crackling phone from the socket and plug in the spare phone into the same socket,,, if the crackling dissappears, its proved were the problem lies
