My Sky+ box has started to turn itself off. Mainly when i'm watching something that i have recorded. It then takes a few minutes before it will turn back no again. It's done it twice today alone.
My sky protect subscription recently came up for renewal and i didnt renew it. Is it a bit convenient that as soon as i'm not protected that it starts to play up?
It seems to have started since the weather has started getting hotter.

There is an option within the user menu to swith-off power-save mode, i dont have a unit myself, so cant recall quite where it is, just go thru the menu using ur remote, and when u find something like "Power Save mode", then swith it to OFF. if the unit doesnt detect any functions, i.e any buttons being pressed, then it goes into power save mode, u can effectively stop this by simply operating a function now and then, and then the time out function resets, i think if it doesnt detect a user function for 2-3 hours then it goes into standby, obviously if ur wachin a film, then the film could last longer than the time out period, hence why it goes into standby... Can u reply to this if this works...
