No lights on Zanussi FJS 1225?

The only lights which appear on my Zanussi FJS 1225W washing machine when I switch it on are the on/off light and the door light. No other lights appear and I am unable to set any of the washing details so the machine is currently unusable. Aybody any ideas ...??
