Hi, Just contacted Samsung and they have authorised for the work to be completed free of charge even though I purchased my TV in 2007.

When I first spoke to them, I was told to call my local service centre and arrange an engineers visit and then fax over the report to Samsung and they would authorise the work. When I called my local service centre they told me that without the auth number from Samsung, I would have to pay £105.00 for an inspection report.

Called Samsung again and they gave me an authorisation code and now waiting for the service centre to arrange a home visit.

Number to call is: 0845 726 7864 for Samsung Customer Services. Make sure you ask them for an authorisation number (starts with 2000) as the service centre will charge you if they do not have this number.

Hope this helps.

Darren
