sob skips very badly on first few songs and very slight bumps in road. Car sitting still, everything ok.

Is it a head unit cd player or a seperate multi disc changer? If its a multi disc then there should be a screw somewhere on it that needs to be put in a certain position depending on if you've got the changer layed flat or upright. Check this is in the right position.
