How can i repair my Bose Sounddock Portable ipod dock?

my bose ipod dock no longer recognized when an ipod is plugged in. it still turns on and works, but it just wont recognize it (ipod doesnt charge, cant control ipod with remote, no music). I think it is a problem with the connection. any suggestions?
