Temp needle reading 30 degrees when boiler is stone cold !?

I have a Sunier Duval SD620 Recently the temp needle on the front panel is saying the temp of the water is around 30 degrees. This is when the boiler is switched off or sat idle for hours and even days on end ... Any ideas ??

Thanks Carefree - yet again for your advice. You answered an earlier question re; Danfoss timer and Danfoss thermostat wiring ~ I have replied to your answer with some more info - can you have a read and and give me your thoughts? Thanks

With that age of boiler, it's possible the temprature guage has lost calibration, and is just reading incorrectly.
