Double socket that has just gone dead?

I have a double socket in the kitchen that has just gone dead (no power) with both switches stuck on the on position (too stiff to put off). Not sure what to check first. Is this likely to be as simple as needing a new fuse?

on no account use wd 40,on live socket, replace the socket, turn maiins off first.

Have had limited success spraying the back with WD40 to allow the switches to operate-NOT recommended
If other sockets are working then it's not a fuse. Replace socket, all new sockets should be a direct fit

No - it may be as simple as needing a new socket - given that you need to ask - an electrician may be your best approach.

Good luck...
