how can I fix mt upvc bathroom window lock?

the locking mechanism in my bathroom upvc window is broken: I have tried repalcing the handle, but the square lock turns without affecting the up-and-down locking mechanism - can the whole mechanism whcih does the locking be repalced and if so how?

hi, try tighteneing up the screws on the side of mechanism - if this doesnt work them you will need to remove all screws as the two part mechanism will have come apart and ned re-alligning
