my curtis drc8335 vcr/dvd recorder will not start ,just the word HELLO shows up.can not play the tape or the dvd,nor use it to watch tv.

check ru83 open and du83 shorted on vcr pcb this will
cause your problem located back right sid of vcr pcb facing the front of the machine. hope this will help.
