switch?

I have a ferm belt sander and the on/off switch is defunct. It has the part number FA3-4 250v-5E4 on it . Would your switch be the same at all

The switch I was looking for says FA3-8/2B-T on the case, which I think is a close cousin of the FA3-4. For mine, I believe the part # is 587233-00, which can be ordered online. The part is used on Black and Decker belt sanders DS321 and BR318. Hope that helps.

Exactly same situation. Can find a switch for it anywhere :(

I also have a Ferm belt sander with a faulty switch. I have take the switch apart, a very fiddly job, and cleaned up the contacts. It works most of the time but I would prefer to buy a new switch if I could find one. Anyone know where to find one. Its a FA3-4 250v 5E4.
