The dial on my machine just keeps constantly turning. I have switched it off at the mains and then started all over again, but when i try to start again in turns again constantly!!

It appears that this is a very common fault on Indesit machines. If you switch off and turn the knob to one of the dots, some machines are black some red. then switch back on and let the flashing light settle, ( I had to repeat this part several times). Then switch off and turn the dial to the programme you desire and switch on. It has worked for me, good luck.
