We had unplugged the fridge from the mains, for cleaning the freezer part of the fridge and removing all the ice. But after cleaning, when we plugged the electrical switch back on, fire starting emanating from the compressor side in the rear bottom side of the fridge and smoke with a acrid smell was let off. We immediately switched the mains off.
The fridge/freezer make is Indesit and its about 6-7 years old.
