Clearing memory of previous owner?

How do I clear the embedded memory from a Sharp register model XE A201
Jim Sasser, July 2010
Jim,

Do you have the manual for this register? In the section titled "Getting Started" there is a procedure for initializing the register. This clears all of the information from the previous owner and returns the register to an 'out of the box' condition. If you don't have the manual, you can download one free here:
http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx
Select "model not listed" and enter your model number. Be sure to capitalize the 'XE' and 'A', the stupid Sharp web site is case sensitive.

Hope this helps ...

I would like to change

- the previous header information (IE Joes Bar and Grill) (the date and time are correct)

- the effective tax rate for my state

- the clerks associated with any given transaction.
(i have three associates that will need to track sales in any given day. I want them to enter a clerk number and then complete the transaction.)

I have read through the manual but remain stumpped.
Any help would be appreciated.

There is no embedded memory from a previous owner on these machines. It is better to edit the existing programming for your store. It will save you a lot of time. What do you want to change on it?
