Have tried changing bulb, and plugging into different outlets, but lamp will not turn on.

After wiggling the output wires on the circuit board and the lamp turned on and off, I resoldered the black output wire and the capacitor next to it. The unit now works good. Prior to this, I had to thump the lamp on the floor to get it to turn on. The solder joints are less than acceptable on this model.

There is a fuse on the circuit board. this may be blown. it is soldered in. I have been trying to find out where to find the replacement board with no luck.
