how do I empty the water trap on a fuel filter on a 2000 X Reg Ford Transit 2.5 non turbo diesel (banana) engine

feel at bottom of filter,remove wiring connection by pushing in wire clip and pulling down and unscrewing the plug a couple of turns to drain,retighten and refit wiring connection
