My Acer Aspire One won't reload Windows?

I have an Acer Aspire One which is under a year old. A couple of month's ago it started to become really slow and crashing, so I decided to take it back to it's factory settings.

I have done this before on my other computer with no problems. However, the problem with this one is it won't reinstall Windows (Vista).

I keep getting a message when I switch it on which says "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click 'ok' to restart the computer, and then restart the installation".

So I click 'ok' and it shuts down and starts up again with the Acer Logo and then I get a message saying " Please wait while Windows finishes setting up your computer" and then I get the same message as before i.e. The computer restarted unexpectedly etc..

I contacted a computer expert online which cost me £28. He advised me to try dban which he said would solve the problem. He said to download it on my other laptop and burn onto disk. I told him the Acer didn't have a cd drive, so he advised I buy a separate one and use a usb cable to attach to the Acer.

So I bought a separate cd drive, and attached the usb cable to the Acer, but of course, because the Acer won't boot, I can't install the cd drive to mend the computer!

I'm tearing my hair out now, as i'm stuck with a useless laptop and cd drive which I can't use!

Does anyone know if I can connect the faulty Acer to my other laptop somehow, (which has a cd drive) and try and reinstall Windows that way? Would I be able to do that?

If it's unmendable I will have to sell it as it's no use to me. I can't take it back to the shop as it was my fault that I messed with it trying to get it back to it's factory settings.

This is last chance saloon.. if anyone has any suggestions I would be extremely grateful!

You will need the Aspire one recovery disk, [at least a] 2GB USB Flash drive, and another computer [with DVD drive].
Plug USB flash drive into the computer, now boot-up the computer with drive containing the Aspire one recovery disk as first boot item.
The Aspire one recovery disk menu should appear from here choose 'Create recovery USB drive'
Follow on screen instructions, and read help files about system recovery.

Take it to a local Computer Shop for help.

Tell the so-called computer expert that you want your money back.
