Im having a problem with my ocean alpha 240e boiler firing up?

It does fire up but then cuts out all the time ,sometimes i can make it work by turning the hot tap on and off for ages and running water for ages until it finally kicks in .please help this is costing a fortune being on a water meter and just a total pain in general.many thanks:-)

The pressure switch was fitted and has solved our problem.
I delayed replying until I was certain the problem had been fixed.

Good luck!

Engineer out to diagnose fault yesterday (21 Aug).
Manufacturer suggested it might be the air -flow switch.
Engineer agreed with this suggestion and a replacement will be fillted on Monday.
I will post again after its fitted to confirm if the problem is fixed (or not).

Thank you ,I had a plumber round today who said he knows another plumber who knows these boilers well,he is going to get back to me when spoken to him .he thinks without speaking to other plumber it may be something simple and cheap like the stats or something and prob wont require new boiler but is going to consult other plumber to confirm .I will ghet back to you when I hear more.

Thanks.
I've written an enquiry to the manufacturers web-site and will be in touch if/when I get a reply.

Have you managed to find a solution to this fault?
My boiler is performing in the same way as you describe, so would be grateful to know how you got on.
