coffe maker?

I have a Krups coffee maker, Type 229, and need to replace the thermostat. The screws on the bottom plate have a peculiar head and I need to know what type of tool to use to loosen the screws.

They will be security screws - intended to make it difficult for the user to tamper with it - to achieve a safety approval.

You can buy a set of small security driver bits from a DIY supermarket for about £5 - you will also need a driver handle - a neighbour may have some.

Your unusual screws are very probably Torx headed...

Use Google - select images - enter torx
