do i need a knew pump on my washing machine?

I have a zanussi jet system 1400 the drum keeps filling with water and then not working and the machine is just making a grinding noise have emptied the filter and the drum of water and i think it is the pump. Is this right and where can i get one?

does the machine drain the water out when you select drain program?.If it does then it isn't likely to be a faulty drain pump issue!
