Zanussi Jet Stream 1200 washing machine

my washing machine is not draining. Don't know whether the pump is gone - how do I check whether it is the pump and if so can I get a replacement part. I have cleared the filter and seems that the water is blocked from below the filter release as once I drain it from there there is still water held below this level. Any advice gratefully received.

Alternatively is there a plumber in the London area that specialises in repairing Zanussi washing machines?

Am I likely to have to replace the whole damn thing?

let the machine fill again, switch off the machine then lower the drain hose to a point lower than the drum into a container.
If the water runs out, then there is no blockage, if thats the case the pump is supect or worse the programmer is faulty
