My DVD recorder shows blue picture?

I have a Panasonic DMR-EZ25EB. Mostly it works fine, but sometimes I get a picture in shades of blue only. Can anyone help please

Can't dislodge an item like a time programme which appears on tv screen coming from a philips dvd recorder, and I haven't got a dvd remote control to aid me. Any help from your end, please?
