How does the front of a servowarm elite 50 come off? An engineer came to service it and tried pulling the front off. I have noticed that there are screws on the side, should these have been unscrewed to remove the cover

I do not know the answer to your question but I put Servowarm Elite into Google and selected "images" - I saw a photo of a boiler with the title Elite 50 boiler on last legs !

The photo showed the lower section of the front cover hinged at the bottom - try grasping the lower section on each side at the join line and pulling forward - if there are obvious screws that prevent it moving towards you - then remove them - somehow I doubt any screws in the side panels - would make installation against a wall or cabinet impossible.
