Hi,

We were given a company laptop when they upgrated. The laptop is in a formatted state with no software installed.

Am I able to download software onto my own laptop, save it to disk and boot the new laptop from diskdrive? Which software do I need to download? I'm worried about downloading software onto my laptop and disrupting my settings.

As your laptops hard drive has been formatted you will need to buy a legal copy of an operating system before you will be able to do anything with it. After this has been installed, you will be able to install the programs you require.
