wobbly gear stick?

my Peugeot 206 has a wobbly gear stick drives still but 1st gear isnt good ....has rev count of 10 when starting engine and staying on that when idle please please help .........if any body knows how much the job will cost thank u

look at back of gearbox from top probably a rod popped off. press rod back on for gear linkage. idle speed is unrelated. what you mean 10?
