there is a problem in installing some hardware devices ..i cant instal my scanner model genius ...but some devices such as webcam or my handycam install easily...please help me to mend it

Are you using windows XP?

Are you installing drivers before plugging in the scanner?

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers for the scanner from http://www.geniusnet.co.uk/produktsubkat.php?ID=37 and selecting your scanner then downloading the driver at the bottom of the page?
