Flat battery caused my radio on micra to lock?

Why do I have to take my radio /6track cd player out ,before Nissan will give me the code to unlock it?
I was never given a code for it in the first place as Arnold clark have not given me the cars origional log book surprise surprise.

don't pay them a pennie remove you radio and post numbers letters here for you code.
you can find them stamped in to the metal casing on the radio
