Probably the circuit board. It is very easy to get to, usually just under neath / behind the push button controls, a few undone screws on the door should give access.
The circuit is encased in a fleixble plastic cover, unplug the socket connections and pop the board out, turn it over and it is easy to see if one of the dry solders has burnt out. A quick blob of solder should sort it. Failing that, the board may need replacing at around £100 available on line or the element has gone which is around £40. The element on a newer dishwasher will be a short stubby metal tube held on by squeeze clips to thick flexi rubber piping which feeds into the wash area. A bit of a fiddle to get to, but anyone with a screwdriver and pliers will be able to replace it.
